SONJA RIBICKI - BIO

Originally from Germany, Sonja Ribicki has spent 5 years working on her acting career in Detroit, before finally moving on to sunny LA, where she lives with her husband and three dogs. Her love for the arts and theater began at an early age, but she didn’t quite find her niche until she found Detroit, or it found her. It provided her with a wealth of opportunities to get a new actor started and she was proud to be part of what seemed to be a flourishing independent film scene.

With extensive experience and training, Sonja is very much sought after for stage, screen, and film work. Film/TV credits include lead roles in Cadence, The Candle, Halloween, and Immortality. Sonja is also proud to have been a main character on the Detroit indy hit In Zer0.

No stranger to professional theatre, Sonja was a member of the Detroit Ensemble Theatre, where she studied the art of Method Acting with renowned coach and former SNL writer Rich Goteri for five years, who has become a mentor in her endeavors. Some stage work includes All in the Timing, Savage in Limbo, and the Laramie Project. Now in LA, Sonja is happy to have found a new teacher and guiding light in veteran actor Bruce Glover.
